2010 EKU Day of Marching Percussion - Saturday, May 1

Tim Jackson, Battery Coordinator for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps and Caption Head and Arranger for the Rhythm X Independent World Indoor Ensemble, will be our Guest Clinician and Instructor for the day.  Joining him will be members of the Eastern Kentucky University Percussion Society to lead a day of playing and learning about Percussion in the marching idiom.  Their experience includes; The Cavaliers, Bluecoats, Blue Stars, Madison Scouts, The Colts, Capital Regiment, The Magic, Rhythm X, Redline Percussion, and offers first class instruction on Rudimental Snare drum, Tenors, Bass drum, and 2/4 mallet instruments.

2010 Kentucky Day of Percussion

 

Featuring the Hellcats Rudimental Drumming Clinic

The Hellcats are the Field Music Group of the West Point Band. The group consists of 8 buglers and 5 drummers, who primarily serve as musical support for the Corps of Cadets at the US Military Academy. The Hellcats drummers will present a rudimental drum clinic at the 2010 Kentucky Day of Percussion.

Registration begins in the lobby of the Singletary Center at 8:30 A.M. The first clinic begins at 9:00 A.M.
Registration is $5 for PAS members, and $10 for non-members.

 

Your admission also registers you for the big door prize drawings.
You could win valuable percussion accessories and instruments.
