The AzPAS 23rd Annual Fall Festival of Percussion took place on September 26, 2009 at Paradise Valley High School, hosted by David Vosler. This year's event included performances by nearly 30 drumlines and 45 solos and small ensembles. Our guest clinician for the festival was Jim Yakas of the University of Texas, Arlington. Approximately 700 students and instructors were in attendance for his engaging and hands-on rudimental percussion clinic. Providing taped and written feedback for student performances were judges Chris Reidy, Jesse Joaquin Parker, and Vicente Lopez. Additionally a collection of rotating critique judges provided each drumline with a 20-minute clinic immediately following their performance.
