The AzPAS 37th Annual Spring Days of Percussion took place on March 26-27, 2010 at Catalina-Foothills High School and the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. The Friday night opening concert featured the AzPAS 2010 Mass Steel Band including nearly 200 performers and nine pan ensembles from around the state of Arizona. The AzPAS Mass Steel Band performed five new works for steel band by Arizona composers Cynthia Barlow, Khris Dodge, Joe Goglia, Josh Gottry, and Wes Hawkins unders the night sky in the CFHS Football Stadium. Saturday morning featured over 100 performers in nearly 60 different solo and ensemble performances in the areas of percussion ensemble, keyboard ensemble, keyboard, snare drum, multiple percussion, world percussion, and timpani solo, and drumset mock audition. A clinic by Dom Moio and Joe LaBarbera on drum set duets and brush technique opened the afternoon session. Following that, a clinic/performances on chamber percussion playing was presented by Todd Meehan and Doug Perkins of the Meehan/Perkins Duo. The AzPAS Spring Days of Percussion festival closed with a showcase concert featuring college and university percussion ensembles and selected solo and ensemble performances from the morning adjudication.
