    Hi Everyone,
I wanted to see if you could direct me to what cable ties you use when replacing a tambourine head. I found some 36" Gardner Bender ties at Lowes which have a larger clasp/buckle and are wider than the ties I see on my current Black Swap Tamb. I currently have a calf head drying using this Lowes cable tie but I am afraid that the larger clasp has gotten in the way of being able to tighten the tie enough. It seems like the ties Black Swamp use would work better. I know that you can purchase ties on Steve Weiss for $6 a piece but I would think that one should be able to find the same thing in a hardware store.

    hi Scott:
I just use 2 HOSE CLAMPS and attach them together; probably about $5 total? Go to an Auto parts store. A lot easier and you can cut the extra calf off a lot quicker and easier.
    Good luck!
