    I have an opening for a second GA position for the upcoming fall semester. Please contact me ASAP at Brian.Zator@tamuc.edu for more details. 

    Responsibilities:

    Primary:

    • Teach the Panimation Steel Drum Band OR assist with the Drumline
    • Teach undergraduate music major and non-major applied lessons
    • Supervision of the major concert ensembles percussion sections
    • Teach and assist with Percussion Ensemble II

      Additional, depending on experience:

    • Teach or assist with the Brazilian Ensemble
    • Teach or assist with the Percussion Methods course

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in music education, performance, or equivalent, with an emphasis in percussion
    • Applicants with teaching and/or performance experience in steel band or marching bands/drumline are preferred
    • On campus auditions are preferred, but taped auditions will be accepted
    • Acceptance into the Texas A&M University-Commerce Graduate School:

    Benefits:

    • A two-year commitment includes a stipend of $8,000 per year
    • Possible tuition remission up to 6 hours per semester
    • Out-of-State tuition waiver
    • Health Insurance
