    Brigham Young University - Idaho Percussion Visiting Faculty - Anticipated for Fall 2016

    Primary responsibilities include: artist level applied teaching in percussion (particular emphasis in drum set); coach rhythm sectionals and jazz combo rehearsals; teach percussion methods and pedagogy courses and share conducting responsibilities in the percussion area including percussion ensemble, mallet ensemble, drum line, steel band, and/or hand bell choir.

    Secondary duties may include but are not limited to: teaching core musicianship classes (aural skills and theory); music history/literature and other music courses as needed in order to assist others with faculty development opportunities. Special consideration will be given to candidates with additional expertise in world percussion and/or jazz pedagogy.

    Additional responsibilities include advising students and other department and university assignments. Visiting faculty may also be asked to teach Foundations courses (general education).
