Connecticut Day of Percussion - (March/April) The CT Chapter of PAS hosts a day of clinics, masterclasses, and performances for individuals and ensembles.

CMEA Conference
 - (April)  The Connecticut Music Educators Association hosts an annual conference for music teachers, clinicians, and student performances.  This conference is typically three days long and is full of sessions for both teachers and students. For more information, go to http://www.cmea.org/PD.

CT Drum Show - (March/April) The Connecticut Vintage & Custom Drum Show has been going since 2007 and is typically held in the spring around March or April.  In addition to clinics there are also many exhibitors and door prizes.  For more information, go to http://www.ctdrumshow.com/.

United States Association of Rudimental Drummers Convention - (April)  The USARD is a professional organization that aims to preserve the art of rudimental drumming.  They host an annual convention in the Spring full of performances, clinics, and presentations.  For more information, go to http://www.usard.org.

Guitar Center Drum Off - (Fall) Guitar Center Drum-Off is an annual search for the top undiscovered drummer. Now in its 26th year, the Drum-Off competition was developed to inspire and support drummers in the pursuit of their musical aspirations. Barnum Festival Parade - (June) A popular event for more than 60 years, the annual Barnum Festival Parade features the Champions on Parade, complete with floats, marching bands, clowns, a children's Wing Ding Parade, Drum Corps competition, the Great Street Parade and fireworks. Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz - (July) 
The largest FREE jazz event in New England, attracting more than 50,000 jazz enthusiasts each year, the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz features 3 days of quality jazz music performed by internationally acclaimed musicians at the main stage in Bushnell Park, and equally noteworthy music performances by talented local and regional artists at the market place at Trinity Street. Litchfield Jazz Festival - (August) 
Going strong for 15 years, the Litchfield Jazz Festival in the Goshen Fairgrounds offering jazz music “in the tent” as well as outdoors on the lawn features an opening night gala followed by three days of jazz, performances by students from the Litchfield Jazz Camp, a juried craft show with a “kid’s corner”, a specific tent called the “Artist Talk Tent” for artist appearances and interviews and plenty of food stalls to complete the experience and the fun.  For more information go to http://litchfieldjazzfest.com/.

Gathering of the Vibes - (July/August) Gathering of the Vibes is an annual music, arts, and camping festival now in its 20th year.  Vibes has grown into a four-day festival that has featured such world-class talent as all founding members of the Grateful Dead, Gov't Mule, Elvis Costello, Crosby, Stills and Nash, John Fogerty, Allman Brothers Band, James Brown, Jane's Addiction, The Black Crowes, John Butler Trio, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Cliff, Primus, George Clinton and P-Funk, Bruce Hornsby, moe., Branford Marsalis, Damian Marley and Nas, and many more.  The Vibes is also a launching pad for extraordinarily talented, young, up-and-coming bands who have the opportunity to showcase their talent to the 25,000 people who attend each year.  For more information go to http://gatheringofthevibes.com/.
