Mid-Missouri Percussion Arts Trophy
The 10th Annual Mid-Missouri Percussion Arts Trophy will be held at the Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon, Missouri on March 3/4, 2017. The categories for the 2017 competition are Solo Marimba, Solo Non-Traditional Percussion and Percussion Duets. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the competitions receive trophies. The top 2 competitors in the marimba division and the percussion duet division will have the opportunity to perform and be critiqued in the Master Classes, led this year by the Competition's guest artist, She-e Wu. The same applies to the Non-Traditional Percussion Solo Master Class that will be led by Dr. James Doyle of Adams State University in Colorado. There are two divisions of competition: the High School Division (grades 9-12) and the Collegiate Division (freshman through graduate student.) All competitors have automatic admission to all Competition events, including the competition proper, the awards ceremony, the Master Class, and the exhibition concerts.
