Announcing the 2012 Nebraska Day Of Percussion!

April 7, 2012
Strauss Performing Arts Center
University of Nebraska Omaha

This will be a day filled with clinics performances and other events.

Clinicians will include:

Nick Angelis - DCI Individual Champion and Star of BLAST!
Talujon Percussion Ensemble including:
David Cossin, Michael Lipsey, and Tom Kolor

Registration begins at 11 am with clinics beginning at 12 pm.

Cost is $15 for PAS Members and $20 for non Pas members
This will include all clinic and the 7pm Finale Concert

HWAA Summer Camp 2010

Percussion Clinic & Guard Clinic

Heartland Winter Arts Association is excited for our first ever percussion camp! We are very pleased to be partnering with the 2010 Winter Guard International Percussion Independent A World Champions Dojo Percussion instructional staff. Our camp will offer education to all percussion specialities, including front ensemble and battery.

We offer various levels of instruction to cater to beginning, intermediate, and advanced students in a supportive, non-competitve environment. The concepts and methods explored during the camp include:

- Warm-up and technical exercises
- Sectional teamwork
- Rehearsal techniques
- Cadences and visuals

The Heartland Winter Arts Association Summer Guard Camp is an opportunity for students to work with clinicians specializing in flag, rifle, sabre and dance.

We offer various levels of instruction to cater to beginning, intermediate, and advanced students in a supportive, non-competitve environment. The concepts and methods explored during the camp include:

- The development of strong fundamental flag skills, including spinning, tossing, and layering body on equipment.
- Daily body movement instruction which will improve posture, breath, and performance.
- Weapons training and technique for all levels of experience on rifle and sabre.
- Fun, yet challenging, choreography implemented during the camp.
