SUMMER MUSIC CAMP at Millersville University

June 18-24, 2017


Summer Music Camps 2017 will feature two week-long camps in Musical Theater and Recording Technology and "mini" sessions in Brass, Woodwinds, Strings, Keyboard, Jazz, and World Percussion. Campers will have the opportunity to perform and interact in large and small ensemble settings, study with acclaimed MU music faculty, and partake in daily music activities. The Total Percussion Seminar is held annually on the campus of Lancaster Bible College.  The five-day event included clinics, master classes, and hands-on sessions on orchestral percussion, drum set, world drumming, music technology, audition preparation, and other topics changing yearly.  Students will take part in ensemble rehearsals throughout the week including percussion ensemble, marching percussion, and world percussion groups.  The educational and fun week concludes with a showcase performance performed by all students in attendance.

What We Are:   Rockville Percussion Ensemble

Founded in 1997, Rockville Percussion Ensemble is an independent percussion ensemble designed to afford performing opportunities for our members in a competitive and professional setting. For the 2015/2016 competitive year, we will be based in Lancaster, PA.

What We Do:

We perform at various competitions during the late winter and early spring as well as festivals and assemblies through the year. Our competitive season runs from rehearsals beginning in late
November to championships in Wildwood, NJ the first weekend of May.

We would love to have you as part of our 2016 ensemble. Feel free to contact us with any question you may have.

Who Can Join?

Anyone from the age of 13 to 21. Prior percussion or musical experience is not necessary. We can teach anyone who wants to be part of it. We also have openings for visual

(dancers and actors) and other musicians (bass, guitar, piano, etc.).

How Much Is It?

Our fees run about $500 for the year.
