Bio

Scott has been playing percussion for over 25 years and has participated with many groups including wind ensemble, orchestra, jazz, marching, and rock. He has performed as a member of the Arizona Repertoire Orchestra, Mesa Community Band, Mesa Community Orchestra, Scottsdale Philharmonic, Chandler Symphony Orchestra, Chandler Symphony Chamber Orchestra, and was an invited member of Arizona State University's Honor Band. Scott has also performed for stage productions of Bye-Bye, Birdie, The Pirates of Penzance, and The Nutcracker. He has studied under Douglas Akey, Brian Murphy, Grant Wolf, Larry Livingston, Steven L. Bardin, and Jim Chapin. Scott currently plays with the Concord Chamber Orchestra in Wauwatosa, WI.

Scott is the author and arranger of "The Grand Marimbists - A Life Behind Bars"; a book of nine marimba duets arranged measure-for-measure from well-known classic orchestral works including Faure's Pavane, Mozart's Alla Turca, and Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1.
