Day of Percussion 2013
This year's annual Day of Percussion will be held on February 9, 2013 at South Lakes High School, 11400 S Lakes Dr, Reston, VA 20191. We have a fantasic program lined up including performances by drummer Steve Fidyk and the U.S Army Blues, the Radford University Percussion Ensemble and drumset artist Keith Carlock and much more. Drumfest! 2013 Student Drumset Playing Competition
Drumfest! 2013, the annual VA/DC PAS student drumset playing competition for students 18 and under, was held on Saturday, January 16 at Stone Middle School in Centreville, VA, Winners of this year's event are announced here.

The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) is a music service organization promoting percussion education, research, performance, and appreciation throughout the world. PAS is the world's largest percussion organization and is considered the central source for information and networking for percussionists and drummers of all ages.
Each year, the Virginia/DC Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society sponsors educational events and percussion performances for players at all levels of experience. The chapter strives to be a resource to working percussionists, non-percussionist music teachers, and students. We are also proud to host an Annual Day of Percussion in the spring, which features performances and clinics by world-renowned artists and educators as well as performances from local middle schools, high schools and colleges through the area.
